Introduction

MediaZilla offer a streaming service unlike anybody else.  It is completely private – only those who have been sent a digital delivery can play it back, by creating their own free account.  It is yours to keep forever, with no ongoing subscription costs and absolutely no adverts.

For customers who receive multiple videos, for example a dance school that puts on a show every year, you can gradually build up your own personal library of videos, all accessed from a single app.

MediaZilla presentations look and feel like a DVD with menus and scene selections, but the picture quality is significantly better.  Videos can be played back on computers, and on TVs, phones and tablets by using the MediaZilla apps or a web browser.

Receiving a Digital Delivery

You will receive an email that looks similar to this:

If you are expecting a digital delivery but don’t see it in your inbox then please check junk or spam as they sometimes end up there.

When you open the email, there will be a View Now button:

Click on this button and you will then be asked to create a free account with MediaZilla. Once you have created your account, the video you have been sent will be available to play back straight away on your chosen device.

If you receive any further videos from Lakeview Video Productions, these will automatically go straight into your existing account.

Once your account has been created, you do not need to keep hold of the email. To access the video in the future log into your MediaZilla account, either using the MediaZilla app or though a web browser at the following address: https://mediazilla.com/account/dashboard

Downloads

Downloading the video allows you to play it back without an internet connection, and you could also copy onto a USB stick to play on your TV.

Downloads are not always available – it depends on whether all participants have paid towards the costs (eg. through a performance fee collected by the Event Organiser). An Event Organiser may also choose not to allow downloads, for example for child protection or copyright reasons.

If downloads are available then you will see an icon like this:

Click the icon and you will be offered a choice of files to download. The ‘original’ quality file will be a large size but will have the best picture quality. Smaller files are compressed by MediaZilla to optimise them for streaming.

Rather than the download icon, some presentations may include a Downloads button on the Main Menu. If this is present then clicking this will bring up another menu containing links to download in various formats (these links will go to an external site, typically WeTransfer.com).

Onward Delivery

Onward Delivery allows you to share a MediaZilla presentation with friends and family. As with downloads, this option is only available when all participants have contributed to the costs.

If available you will see the following icon:

When you click on this icon you will be able to enter one or more email addresses, click ‘Send’ and they will receive a digital delivery in exactly the same way that you received it. Anybody you send it to will not be able to send it on any further themselves.

Please note that the original invitation email you received cannot be forwarded – the link only works for the person it is originally sent to.
